Harbor Island Day 6-Our Last Day!

We woke up early on Friday and got everyone ready for a day at Hunting Island. We packed a lunch and headed to the island for some fun in the waves!

After our fun trip to Hunting Island we came home to hang out and rest in the afternoon. The dads picked up some dinner from the Shrimp Shack and the moms ate leftovers. After dinner the dads took the big girls to the pool. The moms rode the little ones around on the golf cart. Peyton and John joined us for some lacrosse wall ball. Everyone had fun soaking up the last of our wonderful week!

We returned home and the moms, girls and Daniel settled in while the big boys took off  to Hunting Island pier for some fishing. We had a wonderful week of fun with our friends the Kinards. The kids made some great memories and we can't wait till next year!

Harbor Island Day 5-A Day Full of Adventures

We had a great day on Thursday! We spent our morning just relaxing at the house and hanging out. After we ate lunch we headed to the Beaufort waterfront for a dolphin watching cruise. We boarded the boat and went on the hunt for some dolphins. We loved riding on the boat and spotting the dolphins in the water. I am proud to say the only thing that fell overboard was Lucy's paci! We took a few minutes to swing on the waterfront before heading back to the house.

 After our boat ride we stopped by the local seafood dock and got some fresh shrimp for our supper. The dads cooked up some Beaufort boil for dinner and it was delicious!

After our wonderful dinner the moms took the older kids to the drive-in to see Monster's University. It was a great time and fun experience for the kids. Madison was fascinated for about 30 minutes and then she fell asleep! Everyone one else made it to the end of the movie. The little kids stayed home with the dads and after a quick golf cart ride they went to bed!

We have decided the drive-in must become one of our new traditions! Day five was a fun adventurous day and we made lots of memories!

Harbor Island Day 4

We spent Wednesday on the beach at Hunting Island! We packed a lunch and headed out that morning. The kids had a blast riding the waves and hunting for seashells. That evening we met Perrin, Davis, Finn and  baby Oliver for dinner. It was so good to see them and spend some time with family. We had planned on going to the playground after dinner but the rain kept us from going. We made a quick stop for some ice cream for dessert. It was another great day!
