Introducing....Goldie!

Madison only wanted one thing for her birthday..well actually she wanted a coo coo clock (Thanks, Uncle Mike for handling that) and either a turtle, fish or crab! So we made the decision to get her a fish. We picked a beta fish because we hear they are easy to keep. Well Madison picked one out at Pet Smart and we brought it home. On the way home I asked, "What do you want to name it?" She kept saying, "I don't know!" Well Peyton suggested to name it "Cocky" because he had a garnet type fin on top that looked like a Gamecock.Well, she was not having that and said "His name is Goldie!" This did not sit well with Peyton because as he pointed out it is not a goldfish nor is it gold. I had to tell him that when you are 3 you can name your fish whatever you like. So Goldie it is! It really is a cool fish that will come to where ever you sit beside his bowl and stare at you. So far Peyton has been helping out with his feeding and Madison likes to check in on him daily. We just have to watch because one day she was trying to share her chips with him!
